CAVERNOUS Batman is in the Batcave and accepts a call from Aquaman, who is on monitor duty in the JLA Satellite. Aquaman tells Batman its a slow night. Batman calls Oracle. Twice. He then checks with Dick Grayson to see how he is faring. He goes out on patrol, beats up some thugs and returns home to his empty mansion. Batman calls Aquaman and asks if he can help the caped crusader with something at the cave. During the earthquake, some artifacts fell underwater. Batman is hoping Aquaman can help raise some of them. Aquaman agrees and comes to the cave. Aquaman spends a good deal of time trying to lift a giant penny from an underwater crevasse, before realizing that Batman knew the penny could not be excavated. He was just looking for some company, due to loneliness. FAT CITY In the second story, a black and white feature, Batman uses the fattest woman in Gotham as bait to catch a killer who can bend his body to fit through drain pipes.
